Dra. Nerea Subirán Ciudad PhD

Foundress & CEO

Lecturer and Researcher at the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU), she has more than 10 years of experience related to Human Reproduction with a wide international trajectory. She is currently Director of the Human Reproduction Lab. She has extensive experience coordinating R&D projects and industrial contracts establishing important advances related to male fertility at basic, clinical and translational level. He has published 20 articles in high impact international journals, more than 100 conference articles, applied for 2 patents and supervised 5 doctoral theses. With an entrepreneurial spirit and experience in the development of medical devices and entrepreneurship, she is also a founding partner of "MEPRO Medical Reproductive Solutions SL", and she has participated in several acceleration programs.

Dr. Sergio Martín Gonzalez PhD

Industrial Doctorate from the University of the Basque Country/Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea, Sergio has experience in tech-transfer, focusing on innovation, development and medical device regulatory to its commercial launch and incursion into the competitive market. He also has knowledge of business management and operation, having acquired experience in worked, at Progenika Biopharma-Grifols, CIC Biomagune, Tecnalia Research & Innovation and Grupo Ferrer Internacional as well as at the Basque Health Service, among others

Dra. Itziar Urizar Arenaza PhD

Biochemistry. R&D

International Doctorate from the University of the Basque Country/Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea in the field of Reproductive Physiology. Specialist in proteomics approaches, she has participated in numerous R&D projects related to reproduction and cancer, having been awarded the prize for the best oral communication at the European Proteomics Associations Meeting. She has completed her international training at the University of Southern Denmark in Odense (Denmark). Itziar has a solid academic background, which allows her to manage a wide range of tasks.

Iraia Muñoa Hoyos PhD

Biochemistry. R&D

International Doctorate from the University of the Basque Country/Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea in the field of Reproductive Physiology. Master in Cellular Biology specialized in Human Reproduction by the Autonomous University of Barcelona and International Doctorate by the University of the Basque Country/Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea in the field of Reproductive Physiology. Specialist in genetic and epigenetic approaches, focusing on "Next generation sequencing" bioinformatic analyses, such as ChIP-Sequencing and RNA-Sequencing. She has completed her training at the University of Birmingham in the UK and collaborated on numerous R&D projects, having trained in different laboratory techniques that allow her to manage a wide range of tasks.

Donatello Castellana, PhD, MBA

Business Advisory

MBA from Aliter International Business School, Madrid, ES, he hold specialization courses in marketing and valorisation of academic breakthrough from INSEAD, FR and IE Business School, Madrid. He collaborates in medtech projects (oncology and neurology from MIT Boston and UPM, Madrid) dragging academic knowledge and ideas to commercial value. Since 2016 he is Life Science specialist collaborator at Ventac Partners a Venture Builder and VC private fund. From February to September 2017 was appointed as head of operation of mVision Fundation, Madrid. He also is independent new business strategy consultant and participates in presenting SME’s projects to European Commission funding for SMEs instruments (H2020), and serve as mentor for innovation life Science Entrepreneurship events. Since October 2017 he is Head of Technology Transfer at CIC bioGUNE, Bilbao to scout for viable business projects, develop valuable business development activity and launch of new entrepreneurial biomedical projects.

Roberto Matorras Weinig Prof. MD.

Scientific Advisory

Doctor in Medicine, Professor of Gynaecology and Obstetrics at UPV/EHU, Head of Human Reproduction at the Cruces Hospital (Baracaldo, Vizcaya) and Coordinator of Research and Education at IVI Bilbao. President of the Spanish Fertility Society (2004-2006), he is considered a referent in the field of assisted reproduction. He has extensive experience in Innovation in Assisted Reproduction, having been awarded 19 national and 3 international prizes. He has published more than 100 articles in international journals and 300 in national journals. He has 500 communications and papers in scientific meetings, the director of 7 doctoral theses. With 5 six years of research activity (ANECA), he is author of 9 books and 49 book chapters and inventor of a patent.
